About EBT Day

EBT Day answers one question fast: when do SNAP benefits land on my EBT card? Every state issues benefits on its own schedule, usually spread over several days by case number, Social Security number digit or last name. We turn the USDA issuance schedule into a personal lookup, a calendar for each of the 50 states, DC, Guam and the Virgin Islands, a reminder the day before your deposit, the maximum allotment table for the current fiscal year and a plain benefit estimator. We do not sell anything, we never ask for your full case number or SSN, and nothing you type leaves your phone.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my deposit date differ from my neighbor's?

Most states spread deposits over several days so stores and EBT systems are not swamped on the 1st. The day is tied to something fixed about your case, usually the last digit of your case number, your Social Security number or the first letter of your last name, so it is the same every month.

My benefits did not post on the date shown. What now?

Check your balance after midnight through the official EBT app or the customer-service number on the back of your card. If nothing posts by the next business day, call your state SNAP office; the number is on each state page. Delays usually mean a pending recertification, a reporting notice you have not answered, or a system issue the state has announced.

Do you need my case number or SSN?

No. The lookup only needs the one or two digits or letters your state uses to stagger deposits. It runs in your browser and is saved only on your device.

Where do the deposit rules come from?

From the issuance schedule each state reports to USDA's Food and Nutrition Service, which publishes it as the Monthly SNAP Issuance Schedule for All States and Territories. We re-check that document daily and review any change by hand before it goes live.

How accurate is the benefit estimator?

It follows the federal formula published by USDA FNS with the FY 2027 figures, but states apply their own utility allowances, categorical eligibility rules and verification. Treat the result as a ballpark; only your state office decides your benefit.

What is the difference between SNAP and EBT?

SNAP is the program (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, once called food stamps). EBT is the card the benefits are loaded onto. Some states also load cash assistance on the same card, often on a different day.
