If your Montana deposit is late

  1. Confirm the date. Benefits post at the start of your scheduled day, not at a set hour; check after midnight, and remember Montana pays between the 2nd and the 6th.
  2. Check the balance the official way. Use the number on the back of your card (1-866-850-1556), your state's EBT portal or the ebtEDGE / ConnectEBT app, never a third-party site.
  3. Look for a pending notice. A recertification, interim report or verification request that was not returned stops the deposit until it is processed.
  4. Check for a statewide or federal delay on our delays page and the agency site.
  5. Call the SNAP office. Montana SNAP: 888-706-1535 · agency website.
