If your New York deposit is late

  1. Confirm the date. Benefits post at the start of your scheduled day, not at a set hour; check after midnight, and remember New York pays between the 1st and the 9th.
  2. Check the balance the official way. Use the number on the back of your card (888-328-6399), your state's EBT portal or the ebtEDGE / ConnectEBT app, never a third-party site.
  3. Look for a pending notice. A recertification, interim report or verification request that was not returned stops the deposit until it is processed.
  4. Check for a statewide or federal delay on our delays page and the agency site.
  5. Call the SNAP office. New York SNAP: 800-342-3009 · agency website.

What FNS says about New York

Benefits are generally made available based on the last digit of the client's case number. For all counties, except the 5 boroughs of NYC (aka Upstate NY): For NYC cases, benefit postings are spread out over 13 different days that are not Sundays or holidays, during the first two weeks of each month. The actual dates change from one month to the next, so NYC publishes a six- month schedule showing the exact availability dates. Visit https://fns-prod.azureedge.us/sites/default/files/media/file/NYC-Issuance- Schedule.pdf to see the current schedule. This is also based on the last digit of the Case Number. Find the digit in the first column of the schedule. That row lists the monthly deposit dates for your benefits over the six-month period. SNAP deposits are made during the A Cycle of each month.
